About me

Introducing myself

My name is Aurélie. I’m old enough to not wish to disclose my actual age. I live in Tours, a lovely city in the Loire Valley, in France. I work as a translator, but I’m also…

An avid reader

I read a lot as a pastime. In French, English and German, mostly fantasy and science fiction, but also detective novels and thrillers. I prefer original versions to translations, as the French publishing industry has a long history of looking at those genres with scorn. I also composed a few tunes for roleplaying game sessions.

A seamstress

Alternative fashion and historical costumes are a passion of mine. My sewing machine is my best friend when it comes to creating clothes that suit my tastes and personality.

And because no outfit is complete without accessories, I also knit and do crochet. I‘’’m in the process of learning how to make bobbin lace, but I still have a long way to go.
