French native translator
From my office in Tours, in the heart of the Loire Valley, I translate English and German documents into French, adapting the contents to the idioms and culture of your target audience, paying particular attention to the meaning of the text.
After obtaining my degree in scientific and technical translation in 2001 I worked as an employee of a translation agency for a while before setting up as a freelancer in 2005. I soon specialised in electronics, IT, chemistry and automotive translation. My personal tastes and hobbies have led me to expand my range to include fashion, needlework and music.
An active participant in the translation community
As a member of the French professional association Aprotrad (association professionnelle des métiers de la traduction), I subscribe to a number of rules included in our Best Practice manifesto. All members must adhere to those basic principles to guarantee the quality and professionalism of the services they provide. This requires constant training to keep up with the evolution of the ever-changing environment of translation services, be it tools, techniques, or fields of expertise.
Flexible translator
I aim to deliver documents in French that will match your values and your message. A human translator will see beyond words and convey the essence of a text. They will highlight your ideas and your standards and make them visible to the intended public, adapting them to the local cultural background. I will tailor and adapt your communication depending on whether your audience is your clients, your business partners, or your employees and colleagues.
I will provide contents compliant with your DEI policy and make sure that all genders are equally represented while respecting gendered French grammar and syntax. I will not use abbreviations in order to ensure legibility for all audiences.
For further information, please send me an e-mail. I will gladly answer all questions.
